Snowy Day

A surprise snowstorm arrived today during lambing season. I've got so much to do to get ready to leave for NYC but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for photos in the snow. It doesn't happen often and it is so gorgeous. These three guinea fowl had escaped the coop.

Nessie brought the sheep in.

The snow kept coming down, unexpectedly. The kids had a late school opening but it should have been called off, it was so treacherous.

Winston and Archie looked over all of them.

Expect another Day of that Storm! We got about 5 inches of snow-pellets and freezing rain with MORE squalls to come! And, we're north of the main "Cell"... Hope the nastier stuff misses you!

Fantastic photos. Thanks for sharing them. Have a good trip. Hope we get some snow here in the UK - doesn't look too hopeful atm. It's wintery & frosty here, but with bright sunshine, so rather lovely. Maybe I'll venture out with my camera.

Thanks so much for the sheep in the snow photos. Bless those doggies for taking such good care of them. We got 5" of snow here in Chicago--it's about time!!
I hope your trip to NY is rewarding and you will consider coming to Chicago in October for Vogue Knitting Live!!

Your dog and sheep in the snow photos are calendar worthy! Just beautiful. We got our first snowfall hear in Southern Minnesota yesterday as well.

Enjoy NYC!

your photos are beautiful. the dog reminds me of my Roby, who I lost in October 2011. He did not have sheep to herd but he had fun herding the cats LOL. thanks for sharing. Joni

Would you consider making those photos available for sale? They're stunning! In an 8 x 10 perhaps?? Pretty please?
